ABOUT

ABOUT NURTURING MOVEMENT:
PURPOSE? This website was created for the sole purpose of educating the public about MOVEMENT DEVELOPMENT and MAINTENANCE in a simplified and practical way.
WHY? It’s not until you understand how movement develops and what it takes to maintain it, that you truly understand the origin of injuries and how to prevent and recover from them.
GOAL? To educate the public about what it takes to maintain safe and healthy movement, and how to abstain/recover from injury.
SOURCES? The information introduced on this website is the culmination of the authors education, his continued learning, his clinical experience in the field of musculoskeletal medicine and the available scientific evidence.
While the content draws from countless sources, two are particularly influential: Much of the information that relates to movement development is taken from sources in the developmental kinesiology field, and largely from the teachings of the Prague School of Rehabilitation (Czech Republic). Additionally, much of the material that relates to injury and movement mechanics is sourced from the work and teachings of Professor Stuart McGill.
